Ice Skating
Ice skating bookings confirmed at the Ice Arena Thebarton

The cost is still $7 for 2 hours and includes skates.
We will skate from 12noon to 2pm.

TRANSIT POLICE
FRIDAY 26 AUGUST
I have booked a tour with the Adelaide Railway Transit Police, Adelaide Railway Station for Friday August 26, 9:30amstart (bright and early). It sounds as though this is going to be a very exciting tour for the kids! Josie has set up a data base to collect the numbers ofthose who wish to go, so just go to the data base to add yourself! Debating Club
Starts Monday - February 7th at 1.30pm in the Student Recreation Room on the Luther Seminary Campus, Cnr Archer, Jeffcott & Ward Streets. There will be a Junior and a Senior group. Junior group ages approx 6-10 and Senior group ages approx 11-17. The first session will be a planning session and important for you to attend if you'd like to be part of this group during the year. Sundays, every fortnight

Charlotte Mason Inspired Support Group
We meet to discuss the ideas of this British educator. Newcomers welcome! It is suggested that you read on the meeting's topic prior to each meeting, form either a book on Miss Mason or do an internet search for Charlotte Mason. Meetings are from 2-4.00 pm, followed by refreshments . Please bring resources to share and a plate for afternoon tea.

Chess and Games Club
resumes on 31, 1.00-3.00 pm at the Recreation Room behind 211A Archer St North Adelaide. Gold coin donation. Bring your own snacks and games. We meet regularly on the last Monday of each month, with some exceptions - dates are February 28, March 21 ( March 28 is Easter Monday so no meeting that day!), April 18 ( April 25 is a Public Holiday for Anzac Day), May 30, June 27, July 25, August 29, September 26, October 24, November 28.

Journaling Group
To start the new year with inspiring writing skills for you and your children. Work on writing and journaling skills together - all ages from child to adult! This group will meet monthly - bring your own books or journals and writing materials and optional lunch to share afterwards. The second Wednesday of each month - dates for Term 1 are -

Beach Biology
A fun day at the beach, exploring the rock pools and beach dunes. Please bring your nature books, cameras, nets, magnifying glasses, etc! And lunch or refreshments to share.This is an unstructured time to explore and observe together. Home Squad
Home Squad is a grass roots, bring it home version of "scouts" where the children (and parents) designate what has to be done to earn a badge, design the badge and then go about earning it. The member share around the badges they have developed so their friends can earn the badges they have created. Sports/Games Days
These days will be held at a selection of various parks around Adelaide and surrounds. Please bring hats, water bottles, suncreen and any sport equipment, frisbees, balls etc that your kids might like to use. There is a large area for team games for the bigger kids as well as a playground for the littler ones or the less sport inclined. Ashton Scholastic Book Clubs
The Ashton Scholastic catalogues are those which are made available to parents and teachers and child in schools - so there is bound to be some books of interest for homeschoolers! Charlotte Mason Support Group
Mason was a British educator who emphasised the use of whole, living books, nature study and the humanities.
